Soccer Practice Shuffle

It's great to be the Aunt !!  Even when the temp on the truck gauge reads 103 degrees at 6:30p and 99 degrees at 8:00pm....it's August in North Texas the temps will be what the temps will be :-)

Last year, both guys played soceer and both parents were able to co-ordinate the schedules without any problems.

Tonight was the first practice for both boys for the new season, at 2 different times, in 2 different places and dad had City Council Meeting he HAD to attend....oh no !?!?!?!?!

Here's how it all worked out and our family's version of the Soccer Practice Shuffle....

Dad (my brother) drops off littlest munchkin (2 year old daughter) at Grandma/Mom's house on the way to his Council Meeting to keep her out of the extra heat.

Mom (my sister-in-lay) takes both boys (Kindergartner and 2nd grader) to Kindergartner's 6:30p practice.  I meet them there :D

A little before 7:00p, Mom takes 2nd grader to his practice down the road, within a mile.  I (Aunt) stay with Kindergartner.



Kindergartner hustles and has a blast despite the heat.  Surprisingly, there was a coolish breeze to offset the 100+ temp and we came prepared with plenty of water.

When Kindergartner's practice ends, we load up and head to 2nd grader's practice.


Where they are hustling like crazy too!!!  Sun is going down, but not so much the temp, breeze is still hanging in there.  I stayed at this practice and visited with Mom (sister-in-law) until about 7:45p....

Now I'm ready to clean up and hit the bed :-D and I'm super ready for the games to begin!!!!
